Social Skills Training for Campers and Staff in Inclusive Cabins It takes more than simply placing children with special needs, specifically those that lack traditional social skills, in a cabin with typical children to have an inclusive program. Campers need social skills training, their cabin mates need guidance on how best to interact, and counselors need training on how to facilitate this unique grouping of children. As more and more children with Autism Spectrum Disorder attend traditional camps every summer, this is an area in which strong camps deserve strong support.
