Taking Your Camp From Accessible to Inclusive

Your camp may have ramps, handicap bathrooms, and even special activities for kids who can’t fully participate, but not in such a way that everyone can participate together. Do kids with physical disabilities have to play the support role on ropes course day? Are you afraid that if you make too many changes it will ruin the experience for those who are fully able to participate without any adaptations? Anne can guide you through the three methods of adaptation for any program area around camp, provide you with a written plan, and train your staff in its implementation. Your camp can go from simply a legally required accessible facility to a fully inclusive experience benefitting all campers.
